>> be careful this morning. we have patchy fog along the coast coming in over san francisco and parts of the east bay the watch out for that. radar satellite is not bringing back any precipitation returns. from the camera to the embarcadero it is clear as we look to the bay bridge. our current temperature is up to 49 degrees in san francisco and chilly in oakland and redwood city. 44 degrees in san jose and 50 along the coast at half moon bay. what we will have is a cold snap visiting us this week and that is going to start tonight so dust off the electric blankets we have a cold snap that will bring if a possibility of precipitation for parts of the central coast but it passes out and we are going to be experiencing and wind and a temperature drop. more on that in the seven-day forecast but we do have a couple

of problems in the traffic department. not quite sure if this due to fog but if you are headed along the altamont pass westbound 580 at grant line, we have a stall there and that is slowing things down as you make the push in the westbound direction. when you reach vasco you have top speeds to the dublin interchange. drive time traffic shows 80 westbound from albany to the maze is four minutes. 880 southbound from fremont to san jose is 15 minutes. 280 northbound from 101 to cupertino is 10 minutes. outside it is going to be the san mateo bridge making the push in the westbound direction from hayward to foster city and only taking you 12 minutes. >> happening today, the oakland teen burned by another teen on a public bus is running to school for the first time since the attack. our reporter is at sasha fleischman's school in berkeley.

a.c. transit bus. his legs were burned. but skirts are very comfortable he says, so, he will probably see sasha fleischman wearing a skirt today on the first day of school. >> san francisco police are looking for someone who killed a man to steal a new video game system. san francisco miss say the victim was found yesterday afternoon shot several times inside his car near bayshore boulevard. he arranged to sole his video gale system during a face-to-face meeting and the would be buyer shot him and took off. the victim died at the san francisco general hospital. we have more in 30 minutes. bart's union will file a lawsuit for voting to approve their tentative contract minus a disputed clause. the contract section 4.8 would give the workers up to six weeks paid family medical leave but

conditions the next couple of days. the storm system is churning off pacific northwest and coming in over northern california the next couple of days. by later tenth or this afternoon, we will have increasing clouds coming later tonight and that could possibly bring moisture for parts of the central northeast coast but, really, very cold conditions and mostly dry conditions as it makes a push into the bay area for the later part of tonight and into tomorrow. of with you get out the door, 7:00 a.m. around the inland areas, 37 degrees is the temperature and 47 around the bay and 43 degrees along the coast and it warms up and we will be warmer today than yesterday so enjoy it while it lasts. it is all going to change the next couple of days. moving along to traffic, we do have contest building over the altamont pass and we have had a

rosa so be careful. an eighth of a mile visibility at san francisco airport and we are not having any delays just yet at the airport. mostly, we are at 10 miles visibility in the peninsula and inland areas. later tomorrow, increasing clouds and fog come back into the bay area and it starts to recede as we head into tomorrow morning and in the afternoon when the cool air will settle over the bay area bringing us freezing temperatures especially in the north bay areas and the hills and along the coast. the low pressure that is coming from the pacific northwest is where it will bring in the moisture and it may bring a taste of rain and light showers but mostly dry and cold with freezing temperatures between wednesday and thursday. highs top out in the lower 60's

>> most certainly. tracking the fog from the north bay across san francisco the peninsula and into the another bay, i will show you pictures of it, but live doppler 7 hd shows no returns, no precipitation, but we are going to have a cold front that will come in right over the bay area and bringing us freezing temperatures over the next few days. you can see the fog is creeping us over the bay bridge and this is a fog advisory, with cooler air tomorrow and possibility of showers and blustery conditions overnight. freeze warnings are visiting us later this week. today, the fog will burn off later and the increasing clouds and fog overnight will subside by tomorrow afternoon and that is when we will have the really cold temperature the story for were of the week. for the next three days, expect to see the cooler temperatures

affecting all the areas across the bay, and 58 degrees inland and 56 around the bay and 52 along the coast into thursday, though, significant drop in temperatures at ten degrees from today. now the traffic where we have a couple of problems. we do see plenty of congestion building as folks are headed back to work after the holiday weekend. look at this: we have red and yellow oh the altamont pass but we have a brand new accident westbound along 580 at the dublin interchange slowing traffic as we head through pleasanton. mass transit, running on time right now, and we do not have delays or problems along ace train, muni or bart and this is the drive across 897 beyond the julian street off-ramp which is clear who there are extra headlights northbound. >> developing news, san francisco police are looking for a killer and issuing a strong

warning to all after a man was robbed and shot to death by someone he was meeting to try to sell an electronic gaming device . nick? >> we are here because this is still an active investigation. they are looking for the man they say is responsible for shooting someone would simply wanted to sell an electronic gaming system. this is what we know. san francisco police say the victim was found yesterday shot several times inside his car near bay shore boulevard and gerald avenue. he aned online to sell his video gaming system. during a face-to-face meeting, the would be buyer shot him several times and took off with the gaming console. the victim dies at san francisco general hospital. police remind everyone, be careful where you arrange to meet potential buyers. >> meet in an area where the propensity of this time of crime

the first earthquake hit at 1:35 this morning and was a 2.5 magnitude. a second larger earthquake hit at 2:05 a 3.7 earthquake. they are separate earthquakes with slightly different epicenters. there are no reports of damage. >> call it a miracle a boy who fell into a creek and unwater good ten minutes could make a full recovery. the pearland jumped into the nasty pond scum searching for the 2-year-old boy and knew she was running out of time. she finally found the 2-year-old and pulled him out. >> i realized he was sucked into the culvert under the road and i could barely see the white t-shirt. i grabbed him and lift him to ward. >> the paramedic jason ward went to work reviving the child. it worked.

the child is hospitalized and his chances are a full recovery look boy much the foster grandmother said she was about to tie a safety rope on him but he was in the water before she knew what happened. >> sasha fleischman is headed back-to-school for the first time 3 1/2 weeks after an attack that live the teen with severe leg buns. sasha fleischman identifies as neither male or female was asleep last month when another teen set sasha fleischman's skirt on fire. doctors released the 18-year-old from the hospital in time to celebrate thanksgiving at home. the straight amount student is looking forward to getting back to work as editor of school magazine and the boy accused of setting the fire, the 16-year-old, has been charged as an adult but sasha fleischman says thomas should be charged as a juvenile. >> there will be a special beating in richmond about bullying after this flight involving a trans gender

but they did not meet them because they had the flames out within minutes arriving and no one was hurt. >> an off-duty firefighter is credited with help save the lives of four people in this burning car, a restored 1979 volkswagen bus burst into flames on the 580 connection to eastbound 24 yesterday morning and the firefighter pulled a woman and three children in the vehicle to safety. they were not injured. >> a mapped parenthood clinic will open in san mateo county we located on north fair oaks at the site of a former restaurant. neighbors have been circulating a petition against the clinic saying it will negatively impact businesses and prosecute values. though say they will offer reproductive services and medical abortions and pry hear health care. some are concerned about potential protests. >> california lawmakers get a pay raise this week 5.3 percent salary increase approved by a panel in june.

covering santa rosa berkeley become, san jose, and all bay area, this is abc7 news. authorities say it will be several more days before they know just how fast the vehicle carrying actor paul walker was going when it crashed and burst into flames. investigators say speed was a factor in the collision that killed the 40-year-old walker and a friend. the important be hit a light pole and exploded on saturday in the los angeles county come community. people tried to pull the men from the burning vehicle but the flames were too intense. walker was one of the stars of the fast and furious movie franchise. fans have been leaving candles and flowers. in the bay area, candles burned this milpitas to honor his memory. a local car club organized the vigil at the shopping center. 100 people attended. >> this photo is one of the last photos taken of walker with the red porsche before the deadly crash. he was attending a fundraiser for the victims of typhoon
